Vær-equipment
Digital assets/models and drawings for real-life production of clothing and outdoor equipment.
Using Clo-3D (the nearly identical sister software to Marvellous Designer), I created digital assets to support both the design and visualization of hammocks and outdoor clothing for Vær Equipment. This newly established Norwegian company specializes in high-quality gear for outdoor activities, with a strong focus on hammocks, protective ponchos, and fostering a deep connection to nature.
Multifunctional equipment
The idea behind this product is that it can be used in multiple ways – as a poncho, an underquilt for a hammock, and as a sleeping bag. You won’t need to bring bulky sleeping pads, sleeping bags, or underquilts when spending the night outdoors under the open sky. This modular system makes it easier and more practical to adapt your gear to the weather conditions.
Digital Design Process
By leveraging a digital design process with cloth simulation, we were able to identify and solve many potential issues before creating a physical prototype. The assets could also be used to test different fabric looks and render realistic images for early promotional material.
